Available recharges & active orders

When users need to fund their wallets with larger amounts, the platform offers peer-to-peer options via available recharges. This allows users to buy cryptocurrency from verified dealers within the app. Conversely, users who wish to sell their cryptocurrency can publish an offer, which is then visible to others in the community as an active recharge option. This system fosters a dynamic marketplace within the app, where users can trade crypto securely.

Primary users indicated they would use the offline feature frequently if it offers ease of use and low fees

  • Having an alternative option would make it easier to shop without needing cash, but I’d want to know that it’s secure.

  • Fees are a concern. If the transaction fees are reasonable, I’d consider using it regularly.

  • An alternative could be useful, especially if I can track my expenses within the app.

  • I’d like to use the wallet at stores where I shop often. It’s helpful if cash isn’t available.

  • It could be convenient, but only if enough stores accept it.

A digital QR-Based card and POS to help more people

How it worked:

The POS system allowed merchants to:

Register users: The user would provide their ID information, take a photo, photograph their ID document, set up security questions and a PIN, and link a card to manage their account.

Process withdrawals: Customers could withdraw funds in their chosen currency. The merchant would scan the QR code of the customer’s WeSend card, verify their PIN, and process the transaction in real-time.

Reload accounts: The POS allowed users to add funds to their wallet using various methods, with the merchant managing the process.

This made the WeSend Wallet POS a powerful tool for individuals without access to digital banking, especially the elderly, who could now receive remittances from family abroad and withdraw funds directly at these physical points. This increased overall wallet usage by 40% compared to the web app alone.

User-friendly onboarding process

The WeSend Wallet offered an easy-to-use onboarding system for merchants and users. Merchants could register new users, linking their accounts with minimal effort.
