The "Phantom Bark" — Gamified Pet Rescue

Most pet rescue apps are digital cemeteries—depressing, outdated, and reliant solely on guilt. People download them once, feel sad, and never return. This challenge aims to transform pet rescue into a high-stakes, real-time "Guardian Network" where helping a lost dog feels like leveling up in an RPG. The goal is to design a Real-Time Sighting Dashboard that prioritizes speed and community verification.

User Persona

  • Name: Alejandro, 28 years old.

  • Context: An active dog owner who walks his pet twice a day in high-traffic urban areas.

  • Pain Point: He often sees stray dogs but doesn't have the time to fill out long forms or search for local rescue groups while holding a leash.

  • Motivation: He wants to help, but he also enjoys competition and recognition within his neighborhood community.

Constraints

To make this ready for Agentic Development, your design must account for:

  • The 10-Second Report:

    • GIVEN: The user is in "Patrol Mode" (tracking enabled).

    • WHEN: They tap the "Sighting" button.

    • THEN: Open the camera immediately, use AI Vision to tag breed/color automatically, and broadcast the location to other users within a 5km radius.

  • The Gamification Engine:

    • Rewards: Define "Guardian Points" logic (e.g., +50 for a clear photo, +100 for a confirmed reunion).

  • Edge Cases:

    • The "Fake Guard": Design a community-driven verification flow to prevent point farming with fake reports.

    • Privacy: Protect the home location of the reporter while enabling owner-to-finder communication.

Bonus

Design a "Heat Map" view for the neighborhood that shows "Cold Zones" (where no guardians have patrolled in 24 hours) to encourage users to explore new routes.

Suggested Tools

  • Figma: For high-fidelity prototyping and interaction design.

  • FlutterFlow: For architecting the app's real-time database logic.

  • Google AI Studio: To specify the AI Vision logic for breed detection.

Brand Vibes

  • Style: Cyberpunk Humanitarian / Tactical Tech.

  • Palette: Dark Mode background (#05050A), Electric Green (#10B981) for success, and Neon Orange (#FF5F1F) for high-priority alerts.

  • Feeling: Urgent, powerful, and rewarding.

Tip

"If your reporting flow requires more than 3 taps, Alejandro will keep walking and the dog will stay lost. Specification isn't just about features; it's about eliminating the friction that kills empathy."
